Alaska is a place like no other, with summer sunsets that last all night, and northern lights that paint the winter sky green, and yellow and red. Its a mysterious place, full of wildlife, adventure, and excitement. Pretend...view, and enjoy with us just for a minute and live the life of a scout from Eagle River, Alaska......a Troop 230 scout!
In the fall the woods are alive with color, and air is crisp and cool, and the campouts are always special. In winter we build snow shelters, pull out our snowboards, and enjoy the whitestuff! Spring is a time for snowmachines and dog sledding. Summers are extra special, with a sun that never sets. We have hiked 50 miler trips, traveled by canoe through the heart of the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, panned gold in the Yukon, rode horses in the Canadian outback, and hiked the famous Chilkoot trail.
